Are your buildings insured to replacement cost?
Older sanctuaries are the single most under-insured category we see. We check the valuation basis, the coinsurance clause, and whether ordinance-and-law coverage would pay to rebuild to today's codes.
Is abuse and molestation coverage real — and adequate?
We look for a sublimit hiding inside your liability limit, defense-inside-limits language, and whether volunteers and off-site programs are actually covered.
Does workers' comp match your payroll reality?
Part-time staff, custodians, musicians, and clergy housing allowances are all commonly misclassified. Misclassification shows up as an audit bill you did not budget for.
Who is protected if the board is sued?
Directors and officers coverage protects volunteer board members personally. We check the limit, the employment-practices piece, and whether past board members remain covered.
What is excluded that you assume is covered?
Mission trips, rented facilities, drones, counseling, day care, sexual-misconduct defense, cyber and funds transfer fraud. Exclusions are where surprises live.
